Why Abercrombie & Fitch Hire Good Looking People
4 July 2013In the spirit of equality we can’t go without blogging about the recent uproar cause by Abercrombie & Fitch CEO, Michael Jeffries.
In a recent interview with Business Insider, Jefferies spoke out “It’s almost everything. That’s why we hire good-looking people in our stores. Because good-looking people attract other good-looking people, and we want to market to cool, good-looking people. We don’t market to anyone other than that”.
However, here at Matching Models we do believe beauty is important but it shouldn’t just be from the outside. It’s not just about the way we look but about the skills and knowledge we possess.
As petitions and protests are fired up, are Abercrombie and Fitch facing a dilemma?
We personally don’t think so. Matching Models have sales people for Louis Vuitton and grid girls for Formula 1, it is no secret that beautiful people sell more and attract media attention. It is all about promoting brands and increasing sales and if a pretty face helps create that result why wouldn’t you?
For the past 7 years, Matching Models have been very successful in delivering for clients such as the Rolling Stones, MTV and De Beers Diamonds. We follow our motto ‘Beautiful, talented people’ and we will continue to thrive.
