As most of you know I did not have an easy start in life, I am originally from a Dutch family of travellers that took me out of school at the age of 16, I lost my family, only brother and then ran away abroad and became very young mother of a beautiful daughter Jade. As nobody wanted to employ me I became an entrepreneur at the age of 20..
With ups and down I learned, managed to set up various businesses which some of them failed, and others did well.
But nevertheless after all these years I managed to create The Matching Group.
For the ones that don’t know what we do: Matching Models is the first recruitment agency supplying attractive & talented staff for clients as F1, Louis Vuitton and MTV world wide. Matching Media developed a TV Format with Endemol called “The Dreamjob” which we are in process to sign off on UK TV.
I know its not easy for single parents to make a living, even more to set up a business. I try to employ single mums as often as I can, as I know how hard it is to survive.
As I have a bit of an unusual life story my team ad me in a competition to be on stage together with Al Gore and Richard Branson to tell my story in the hope it would motivate others out there.
