Q&A; with model booker Sophie

As a company catering especially for beautful and talented people, Matching Models and The Matching Group credit much of their success to its understanding of the importance of 'looking the part'. This knowledge comes from the company's foundation as a modelling agency - an industry in which books are judged by their covers. 

The high demand for long term assignments naturally progressed to the point where our long time model booker, Sophie was brought on board to focus on developing and nurturing client relationships, and to help place the perfect brand ambassadors for businesses internationally with our head model booker Lauren.  

Exclusive Q&A:

Q: Why does The Matching Group & Matching Models place importance on looks, as well as skills? 

A: The Matching Group's ethos is that both are important, sometimes equally important because the person chosen inevitably becomes a representaiton of the brand or business they work for. Big companies invest in a great builiding or office space to give off the right impression, and the same goes for advertising campaigns. Why should their employees be any different?

Q: Do you think it is shallow to choose attractive employees?

A: Absolutely, in normal conditions. But the roles we specialise in filling, often are for receptionists sitting in front-of-house, or air stewardesses who must fly with high-profile clients. In these scenarios, looks are important. 

Q: What does your normal day-to-day routine at work consist of?

A: Every day is never the same and that's what makes this job so exciting! We've fulfilled requests from Russian billionaires who need a glamorous female with a license to drive racing cars in order to impress business partners, and so much more. There's never really a dull moment in the office! 

Q: What do you enjoy most about working for MM?

A: I've always been interested in current affairs and the social side of business, so I do really enjoy working for such a global, diverse company. I find it very fulfilling when i match the perfect candidate with the right business, it's incredible to see how a company flourishes with our staff on thier team.
