A week in the life of a working model

Hi my name is Sarah. I work as a DJ and professional model and I’m currently working on a job for Matching Models.

I travel around the world on various jobs for them working at really           glamorous events!

Last month the agency organised 3 DJ gigs for me at the Music conference in Miami which was amazing fun.

I’m also on the short list to work in hospitality in India for a Matching Models client – Matching Models have great jobs and it gives me the chance to see the world and try different work - anything from DJ-ing to hospitality to catering work.

Two weeks ago after an intensive casting in the Matching Models London HQ, under supervision from the French client that flew specially in for that occasion, I was chosen to work in Cannes to do promotional work during the Film Festival Cannes.

Yesterday morning me and other models from the agency (Daniella, Lauren etc) arrived at Nice airport and a driver brought us to our apartment at the Croisette in Cannes where 4 other models of the agency already awaited us.

We had a quick shower, tried on our outfits (short jeans, printed shirt and cowboy boots) and then went straight to the beach to do some promotional work, handing out flyers.

At 13:00 our client prepared a fantastic lunch for us on the beach and at 14:00 we are starting to work again.

I even handed a flyer to the Dictator (Sacha Baron Cohen) when he passed me sitting on his camel in Cannes and got a request to become part of his security team....haha!!

I guess my life ain’t so bad that I am working on the beach talking to people in one of the most beautiful places in the world.  We work quite a lot of hours and in the evening we are really tired from all the walking but our client is extremely happy since we brought in a lot of new potential clients - and that’s what it’s all about, being an ambassador for the client’s brand.

PS I gave the Dictator a business card from the agency I am pretty sure he could be an "interesting" client!
